MANIPULATED/RESPONDING VARIABLES
MANIPULATED VARIABLES
The different designs of interiors are the manipulated variables
1)Smaller interior box with shiny interior 2)Interior box with shiny interior and steel plate at bottom 3)Interior box with black interior 4)Interior box with black interior and metal plate at bottom

RESPONDING VARIABLES
The differences in the temperature changes as the ovens are heating up, and cooling down are the responding variables.
1)Temperature to be measured every hour for six hours as it heats up. ------The different temperature changes will be the responding variables to the different manipulated variables ------This will determine how effective each of the different manipulated vaiables is towards solar oven performance of *****heating up*****.
2)Temperature to be measured when heat lamp is turned off and every ten minutes for sixty minutes. ------The temperature changes will be the responding variables to the different manipulated variables. ------This will determine how effective each of the different manipulated variables is towards solar oven performance of ****keeping hot***.
CONSTANTS The constants are:
1)Same heat lamp is used for all tests 2)Same "exterior" box is used for all tests 3)Cardboard interior Mandarin orange box used for the two interior boxes is the same make, and from the same shipment. 4)Same thermometer is used in all tests 5)Same role of tinfoil was used to cover all boxes 6)Same clear plastic oven bag was used to cover windows in all boxes 7)Same steel plate is used for all tests 8)Solar oven test is run in same location, and same position for all tests 9)Same electrical outlet is used for all tests.
